Biography
Mrs. Guy attended Howard University School of law during law school Mrs. Guy was a law clerk in the Public Defenders Service (District of Columbia) and for a federal death penalty case. She also worked at the United States Department of Transportation as a Legal Intern where she received commendations. During law school, Mrs. Guy worked at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on matters such as civil litigation and bankruptcy. Her activities and honors Include: Dean’s List, Member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honor Society, Member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Member of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority. Mrs. Guy is well-traveled and studied abroad in Europe.
After graduation from law school, Mrs. Guy worked, as a civil litigation and bankruptcy attorney. She has over three years of legal experience where her responsibilities included: motion writing, answering complaints, mediation, settlement negotiations, and all aspects of discovery. She also has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants at civil hearings, mediation, and settlement negotiations, at both the State and Federal level, and defending creditors and debtors in bankruptcy adversary proceedings and confirmation hearings.
Mrs. Guy is currently representing clients in Chapter 7,11, and 13 bankruptcies, including lien avoidance, and motion practice. |
